Common Questions from Clearwater Riders

How long is the drive from Clearwater to the Zephyrhills motorcycle training site?

From Clearwater (33755–33767), plan on 50–60 minutes — approximately 40–45 miles via US-19 North to SR-54 East, or SR-60 East to I-75 North and SR-54 East.

Where do Clearwater residents add the motorcycle endorsement after passing the BRC?

Clearwater is in Pinellas County. Two Pinellas County Tax Collector offices are convenient: the Gulf to Bay office at 1663 Gulf to Bay Blvd, or the North County office at 29399 US Hwy 19 N, Suite 100. Both close at 4:30 PM weekdays. Bring your BRC Completion Card, full Florida Class E license, and the endorsement fee.

Does it matter which county the training school is in vs. where I live?

Not at all — anyone with a valid driver's license or permit can attend Tampa Motorcycle Training regardless of which county or state they live in. After passing, Florida residents add the endorsement at a tax collector office or DHSMV in their home county (Pinellas, in this case). Out-of-state riders can also use the BRC Completion Card — check your home state's reciprocity process.
